The Scouts hold an amazing art collection which documents Scouting activities, personalities and places. The Collection is not restricted to paintings, it also contains a wide range of sculpture and decorative art. Scouting’s founder, Robert Baden-Powell, was a talented artist who provided illustrations of his Scouting publications as well as sketching and painting for pleasure.
Working in partnership with Art UK has enabled the digitisation of all the oil paintings and a selection of the sculpture held in the Collection. These are available to view through the ArtUK website and purchase through print on demand on their online shop.
We have three resource packs available with images of artwork in the Heritage Collection.
- The artwork of Ernest Stafford Carlos
- The artwork of Robert Baden-Powell
- A selection of artwork from the Heritage Collection
