During 2019 Scouts from around the world will be joining in celebrations to mark 100 years of Scouting at the Movements’ spiritual home, Gilwell Park.  Over the course of the year there will be various events and activities to mark the significant moments in the Gilwell calendar.  Details of these can be found here.

The history of the Wood Badge

  • An exhibition held at Epping Forest District Museum in Waltham Abbey – this exhibition will enable us to publically show some of the Heritage Collection’s most iconic artefacts for the first time and help us take Gilwell’s story to a new audience.  The exhibition will run from 10 August – 12 October 2019.
  • A programme of tours and talks – these will be held both at Gilwell Park and at Epping Forest District Museum
  • Activities linked to Heritage Open Days during September 2019
