Scouts, skills and century of change: the untold story of Gilwell Park
Curated by The Scouts Heritage Service, we’re delighted to bring you an exhibition which explores 600 years of history at Gilwell Park, Epping Forest’s hidden gem. From society scandal to Scouting wonderland, Gilwell Park has an amazing range of stories to tell.
For 100 years Scouts from around the world have travelled to Epping Forest to learn new skills, make friends and revel in its beautiful landscape. Discover how Gilwell Park has become known across the globe as the spiritual home of Scouting.
This exhibition will form part of The Scouts Gilwell 100 celebrations and will provide a rare opportunity to see some of the rare and iconic artefacts held within The Scouts Heritage Collection.
The exhibition will be open from Saturday 10 August to Saturday 12 October 2019.
