The Heritage Service can host a limited number of researchers throughout the year.  Researchers are supported by our Heritage Research and Engagement Coordinator.  Please complete a research request form or contact us to discuss your requirements.  Visit our Collections page to find out about the various aspects of the Heritage Collection.

We are able to provide tea and coffee during your visit.  We don’t currently have any catering facilities on site or nearby so if you are coming for the day please bring lunch or snacks.  You can eat these in the kitchen area.

ACCESS

Research visits are facilitated in our offices, you will be based in one of our meeting rooms to give you a quiet space to work.  We are based on the first floor and we have a lift and stairs.  There is an accessible toilet on this floor.

If you would like 1-2-1 support during your visit we will try to arrange a heritage volunteer to work with you to ensure you can access the information you are looking for.

Getting to the Gilwell – there is no public transport to Gilwell Park.  Buses and trains run to Chingford which is a 5 minute drive or 30 minute walk.  You are welcome to drive to Gilwell Park and when you book we can send you a map of the site.  We can book you a disability access car parking space by our office entrance if you let us know in advance.
